How renewals work, and why an invoice came early
When does my server renew, and why did I get a renewal invoice before the end of the month?
Renewal invoices are raised 7 days before your period ends, with reminders 7, 3 and 1 day before the due date; a saved card is charged automatically on the due date.
Before you start: Access to the client area.
Step by step
- Open Billing in the client area. Each server shows its cycle (monthly or yearly) and its next renewal date.
- A renewal invoice appears 7 days before that date. This is normal and does not shorten your current period.
- If a card is saved, nothing else is needed: it is charged automatically on the due date.
- If no card is saved, or you want to pay early, open the invoice and pay it; the new period still starts when the current one ends.
- The renewal price is your plan plus any add-ons in force (extra backups, storage, dedicated IP). A downgrade you scheduled applies at this renewal.
- Monthly plans renew every month and yearly plans every 12 months; you can change cycle later from Billing.
Check it worked: After the due date the invoice shows Paid and the next renewal date moves forward by one period.
Why it happens: CoreX invoices ahead so there is time to fix a failed payment before the server is affected.
