Fabric server hosting
Fabric is a lightweight mod loader that updates to new Minecraft versions quickly, popular for performance mods and smaller modpacks. On CoreX it is one click away in the panel.
Switching to Fabric
Open the Versions tab, choose Fabric and the Minecraft version, and the panel installs the server and sets the right Java version. Every Fabric release is listed. Take a backup first if the server already has a world you care about.
Fabric mods
The Mods tab installs Fabric mods in one click. Most Fabric mods also need Fabric API on the server; install it the same way. Client-only mods (minimaps, shaders) do not belong on the server.
Fabric or Forge?
Pick the loader your mods were made for: a Fabric mod will not load on Forge, and the other way round. Fabric tends to support new Minecraft versions sooner and suits performance and quality-of-life mods; many large content modpacks are built on Forge or NeoForge. If you are not sure, the download page of the mod or modpack says which loader it needs.
