Modded Minecraft server hosting
Run Forge, Fabric or NeoForge with the mods and modpacks your group wants. Modded servers want memory before anything else, so CoreX plans are sized by RAM, with the CPU and disk for each size published up front.
Mod loaders
- Fabric: switch to it at any time from the Versions tab, with every release listed and the right Java version set for you.
- Forge: choose it when ordering. To move an existing server to Forge, ask support.
- NeoForge: upload the modpack’s server files and start it like any Java server.
Installing mods and modpacks
The Mods tab installs Fabric and Forge mods in one click. For a full modpack, download the pack’s server files and upload them with the file manager or SFTP (FileZilla works), then start the server.
Take a backup from the panel before adding or updating mods, so a pack that will not start is one restore away from working again.
How much RAM a modded server needs
It depends on the pack: a handful of mods runs in a few gigabytes, while large kitchen-sink packs want much more. Start with the size the modpack’s own page recommends for a server, then move up one step if players report lag. Upgrades keep your world and files.
