Copy a world between your servers
How do I move a world from one of my servers to another?
Download it from the first server and upload it to the second, then set level-name.
Before you start: The target server on the same or a newer Minecraft version than the source.
Step by step
- On the source server run save-all, press Stop, then archive its world folders in Files and download the zip.
- On the target server press Stop so it does not overwrite the world while you copy.
- Upload the zip to the target server's root and Unarchive it.
- Set level-name in the target's server.properties to the copied folder name.
- Start the target and check the world, then delete the uploaded zip.
- For huge worlds, use SFTP on both servers instead of the browser.
Check it worked: The target server loads the copied world.
Why it happens: Each server has its own files, so worlds are copied through your PC or SFTP.
