Upload your own world
How do I upload my singleplayer world to the server?
Zip the world folder, upload it in Files, unarchive it, and set level-name to its folder name.
Before you start: The world folder from your PC (.minecraft/saves/<World>) and the same or newer Minecraft version on the server.
Step by step
- Stop the server with the Stop button so it does not save over the files you upload.
- On your PC, open .minecraft/saves (Windows: press Win+R, type %appdata%\.minecraft\saves) and zip the world folder.
- In Files, upload the zip to the root, then Unarchive it. Big worlds: use SFTP instead.
- Rename the folder to something simple without spaces (for example myworld).
- In server.properties set level-name=myworld.
- Singleplayer keeps the Nether and End inside the world folder (DIM-1, DIM1); Paper moves them to myworld_nether and myworld_the_end automatically on first start.
- Start the server, wait for Done in the console, then join and check your builds are there.
Check it worked: You spawn in your own world.
Why it happens: The server loads the world folder named in server.properties.
