Connect with SFTP
How do I connect to my server with FileZilla or WinSCP?
Use the SFTP details on the Settings tab: host, port 2022, the SFTP username, and your CoreX account password.
Before you start: FileZilla or WinSCP, and a CoreX password (Google accounts set one under Security).
Step by step
- Open the server's Settings tab and copy the SFTP host and username (it looks like youremail.serverid).
- In FileZilla: File > Site Manager > New site. Protocol: SFTP. Host: the SFTP host. Port: 2022.
- Logon type: Normal. User: the SFTP username. Password: your CoreX account password.
- Click Connect and accept the host key the first time.
- Your server files appear on the right; drag files between your PC and the server.
- Sub-users use their own CoreX email in the username and their own password.
Check it worked: FileZilla lists the server files.
Why it happens: SFTP is the fastest way to move big files.
