Upgrade your server's RAM

How do I upgrade to a bigger plan?

Upgrade from Billing: you pay the prorated difference for the rest of the period and the new size applies once paid, keeping the world and settings.

Before you start: A card or account credit for the prorated amount (minimum $0.50).

Step by step

  1. Open Billing, find the server and choose Upgrade (or Change plan).
  2. Pick the new RAM size. The page shows what you pay now (the difference, prorated to your renewal date) and the new renewal price.
  3. Pay the upgrade invoice on the Stripe payment page. Account credit is used first if you have any; an invoice covered fully by credit is settled at once.
  4. Once paid, the new limits are applied. Restart the server from the panel so Java uses the extra memory.
  5. Check Statistics: the memory limit now shows the new size.
  6. If the upgrade is not offered, the node may not have room for that size; contact support, who can move the server.

Check it worked: Statistics shows the new memory limit after a restart.

Why it happens: A bigger plan changes the memory, CPU and disk limits of the same server.

If an upgrade is paid but the limit has not changed after a restart, contact support with the invoice number.
