Downgrade to a smaller plan

Can I move to a cheaper plan?

Yes: schedule a downgrade in Billing; it applies at your next renewal and you keep the higher size until then.

Before you start: Make sure your files fit on the smaller plan's disk (5 GB per GB of RAM).

Step by step

  1. Check disk use in Statistics or Files; the smaller plan must have enough disk for your files.
  2. Open Billing, find the server and choose Downgrade (or Change plan) and the smaller size.
  3. Confirm. The renewal invoice will use the smaller price, and warnings tell you what will change (memory, CPU, backup slots).
  4. Changed your mind? Cancel the scheduled downgrade from the same place before the renewal.
  5. After the renewal, restart the server; reduce view-distance or plugins if memory is tight.

Check it worked: Billing shows the downgrade as scheduled, and after the renewal the new limits apply.

Why it happens: Downgrades are not prorated, so they take effect when the next period starts.
