Not whitelisted or banned from your own server

It says I am not whitelisted, or I banned myself.

Add yourself with whitelist add from the console, or pardon yourself.

Before you start: Access to the panel console.

Step by step

1. Open your server and go to the Console tab; the server must be running to accept commands.
2. Type whitelist add YourExactName (no slash, exact spelling and capitals do not matter).
3. If you were banned: pardon YourName (and pardon-ip <ip> if an IP ban was used).
4. To turn the whitelist off instead: whitelist off (or Quick Settings > whitelist off).
5. Rejoin from Minecraft; the change works immediately without a restart.
6. Make yourself operator (op YourName) so you can manage others in game.

Check it worked: You can join the server.

Why it happens: The whitelist or ban list blocks the join before anything else.
