CoreX Hosting

Connection timed out or server shows offline in the list

It says "Connection timed out", or the server has no ping in the list.

Your computer cannot reach the server at all, usually a wrong address, a network that blocks game ports, or the server not running.

Before you start: The exact address from the panel.

Step by step

  1. Confirm the server is Running and the console says "Done".
  2. Copy the address from the top of the panel exactly: host and port, for example 203.0.113.10:25580, or your free name like myserver.corex-hosting.com.
  3. Try another network, for example your phone's hotspot. If it works there, your usual network (school, work, some public Wi-Fi) blocks game ports.
  4. Turn off VPNs and proxies, and allow Java (javaw.exe) through your firewall/antivirus.
  5. If only a free name (myserver.corex-hosting.com) fails but IP:port works, see the address guide in Network.
  6. Check your email and the CoreX Discord for an outage on the machine your server runs on.

Check it worked: The server pings and you can join from your normal network.

Why it happens: A timeout means no answer arrived: a firewall, school/work network, VPN, typo in the host, or an outage.

If nobody at all can connect while the server is Running, contact support with the server ID.
