CoreX Hosting

Install a plugin in one click

How do I add a plugin to my server?

Use the Plugins tab: search, pick the plugin and install; CoreX picks the build for your software and Minecraft version. Then restart.

Before you start: A plugin-capable server: Paper, Purpur, Folia or Spigot (set in Versions). Vanilla and Fabric cannot run plugins.

Step by step

  1. Check Versions shows Paper, Purpur or Folia. If it shows Vanilla, switch to Paper first.
  2. Open Plugins and search by name (for example EssentialsX, LuckPerms, WorldEdit).
  3. Open the result and click Install. CoreX chooses the version for your Minecraft version.
  4. Install any dependencies it lists (for example Vault for economy plugins).
  5. Restart the server (not /reload).
  6. In game run /plugins: the plugin should be green.
  7. Its settings are in plugins/<Name>/config.yml, created on first start.

Check it worked: The plugin is green in /plugins and its commands work.

Why it happens: The Plugins tab downloads from Modrinth into the plugins folder.
