EssentialsX and a working economy

How do I set up EssentialsX, and why is the economy not working?

Install EssentialsX and Vault; Essentials provides homes, warps, kits and an economy that other plugins use through Vault.

Before you start: The Plugins tab.

Step by step

1. Install EssentialsX, EssentialsX Spawn (optional) and Vault, then restart.
2. Edit plugins/Essentials/config.yml for starting balance (starting-balance), homes (sethome-multiple) and messages; run /essentials reload.
3. Give players the permissions they need with LuckPerms (for example essentials.home, essentials.sethome, essentials.balance, essentials.pay).
4. Check the economy: /balance and /eco give Steve 100.
5. If a shop plugin says "No economy", make sure Vault is installed and only one economy plugin is active.
6. Set the spawn with /setspawn when standing at it.
7. Translate or change messages in plugins/Essentials/messages files if you want your own wording.

Check it worked: /balance works and shop plugins show prices.

Why it happens: Shop and job plugins need Vault plus an economy provider.
