How do I add a datapack?

Put the datapack zip or folder in <world>/datapacks, then run /reload or restart.

Before you start: The datapack for your Minecraft version.

Step by step

1. Find your world folder name (level-name in server.properties, usually world).
2. Open Files > world > datapacks and upload the datapack .zip (do not unzip unless it is a folder already).
3. Run minecraft:reload in the console (datapack reload is safe; it is not the plugin /reload).
4. Check it loaded: datapack list.
5. Some datapacks (world generation) only work on new worlds or new chunks.
6. Disable one with datapack disable "file/name.zip" if it causes problems.

Check it worked: datapack list shows it enabled.

Why it happens: Datapacks are loaded per world from its datapacks folder.
