Ban, kick and unban players

How do I ban or kick someone, and undo it?

kick Name removes them now; ban Name keeps them out; pardon Name lets them back.

Before you start: Op or console access.

Step by step

1. To remove someone right now without a ban, run kick Name followed by a reason; they can rejoin.
2. To keep someone out, run ban Name followed by a reason. They see the reason when they try to join.
3. To block their connection too, run ban-ip Name, which bans the IP they are using now.
4. To undo a ban, run pardon Name, and pardon-ip <ip> for IP bans.
5. See all current bans with banlist (banlist ips for IP bans).
6. For temporary bans install EssentialsX and use tempban Name 1d reason; it lifts itself after the time.

Check it worked: The player cannot join until pardoned.

Why it happens: Bans are stored in banned-players.json and banned-ips.json.
