CoreX Hosting

Use /ai in game

How do I use the AI from inside Minecraft?

Install the CoreXAI plugin from the AI Builder tab and restart; then /ai <anything> does what the request needs: answers a question, runs a command, changes the server, or builds a whole plugin and installs it (players who are not staff only get answers).

Before you start: A Paper, Purpur or Spigot server on 1.20 or newer, and the AI Builder add-on.

Step by step

  1. In AI Builder, click Install plugin. It uploads CoreXAI.jar and its config with a fresh token.
  2. Restart the server. The console shows "Linked to CoreX AI Server Builder".
  3. In game: /ai <anything>, for example /ai build me a rocket launcher (the AI decides whether that is an answer, a command, a change to the server, or a new plugin, pack, model or datapack, and updates something it built before instead of making it twice); /ai pro <request> spells the request out in detail first; /ai status, /ai cancel, plus any custom commands the owner added. A plugin is compiled on your own server and loaded straight away; a new version of a plugin that is already running loads with a restart.
  4. Rules: /ai rules, /ai rules add <rule>, /ai rules remove <number>.
  5. Permissions: serverai.chat (everyone by default), serverai.use, serverai.pro, serverai.rules, serverai.status, serverai.cancel (ops by default). AI Settings sets cooldowns, answer length, allowed or blocked players, and can open or close each command.
  6. If the token leaks, click New token (or Revoke) in AI Builder; the old one stops working at once.

Check it worked: /ai status shows your AI key connected and your monthly usage.

Why it happens: The plugin sends requests to CoreX with your server's own token; it never holds your AI key.
