Does CoreX keep backups for me?

Do you back up my server?

CoreX keeps platform backups for its own recovery, but they are not a substitute for yours; always keep your own backups and downloads.

Before you start: Nothing.

Step by step

1. Use Backups for your own copies before any risky change.
2. Turn on Automatic backups in the Backups tab (see the automatic backups guide).
3. Download important backups to your PC or cloud storage every week or so.
4. Keep at least one backup from before each big update until you are sure the update is fine.
5. Test a backup now and then by downloading it and opening the world in singleplayer.
6. Before cancelling or deleting a server, download everything you want to keep; nothing can be recovered after deletion.

Check it worked: You have recent backups on and off the server.

Why it happens: Platform backups exist to recover from hardware problems, not individual mistakes.
