What website hosting does not include

Can I run WordPress or PHP, or get a database or email with my site?

No: website hosting runs static sites and Node.js or Python apps. PHP, WordPress, managed databases and email inboxes are not part of it.

Before you start: Nothing.

Step by step

1. For a blog or brochure site, a static site generator such as Astro, Hugo or Eleventy gives you a fast site with no PHP.
2. For WordPress, PHP apps, MySQL or PostgreSQL on the same machine, order a VPS instead and install them there.
3. A Node.js or Python site can use a database hosted elsewhere: put its address under Environment.
4. For email at your own domain, use a mail provider and add its records where your domain's DNS is managed.
5. Not sure which fits? Open a ticket and say what you want to run; we will tell you whether website hosting or a VPS is the better match before you pay for either.

Check it worked: You know which product fits what you want to run.

Why it happens: Those need software CoreX website hosting does not run. A VPS is the right product for them, because you install whatever you need.
