Schedule automatic restarts and backups

How do I make the server restart or back up automatically?

Create a schedule in Schedules with a time and an action (power restart, backup or a console command).

Before you start: Free backup slots for backup schedules (see the backups guides).

Step by step

  1. Open Schedules and create a new schedule.
  2. Set when it runs using the minute, hour, day-of-month, month and weekday fields (the panel uses UTC; for example hour 4, minute 0 = 04:00 UTC every day).
  3. Add an action: Power action > Restart, Create backup, or Send command.
  4. For a friendly restart, add a command first (say Server restarting in 1 minute) and a restart 60 seconds later.
  5. Make sure the schedule is set to Enabled (active), then save it. It appears in the list with its next run time.
  6. Use "Run now" once to test it.

Check it worked: Activity and Console show the action at the scheduled time.

Why it happens: Regular restarts clear memory build-up, and scheduled backups protect against mistakes.
