CoreX Hosting

Java or Bedrock: which server do you have?

Is my CoreX server Java or Bedrock? Can Bedrock players join?

CoreX servers run Minecraft: Java Edition. Bedrock players can often join through the Geyser plugin, but CoreX has not published an official Bedrock or crossplay policy.

Before you start: Nothing.

Step by step

  1. Java players (PC launcher) join with the address from the panel.
  2. Bedrock players (phones, consoles, Windows Bedrock) cannot join a plain Java server.
  3. General Minecraft advice, not an official CoreX feature: Geyser (with Floodgate) translates Bedrock to Java; see the Geyser guide.
  4. Realms are Mojang's own servers and are separate from CoreX.
  5. Ask support before relying on crossplay for a big community, as it is not an official feature.

Check it worked: You know which players can join and how.

Why it happens: Java and Bedrock use different network protocols.
