Disk full crash

The server crashed with "No space left on device".

Free disk space by deleting old backups, logs, crash reports and unused worlds, or buy more storage.

Before you start: Files open in the panel.

Step by step

1. Open Statistics to see disk use against the limit.
2. In Files, sort folders by size: big candidates are old world copies, logs/*.log.gz, crash-reports, plugin caches and Dynmap tiles.
3. Delete what you do not need (download first if unsure).
4. Pre-generating huge worlds uses a lot of space; shrink the world border if needed.
5. Buy extra storage in Billing ($7/month per 100 GB), or upgrade the plan.
6. Start the server; check the world loads properly.
7. Set a monthly reminder to clear old logs and backups so it does not fill up again.

Check it worked: Disk use is well under the limit and the server runs.

Why it happens: Worlds, logs and backups filled the plan's disk.
