Players using hacked clients

People are flying or using kill aura.

Install an anti-cheat plugin, keep online-mode on, and ban cheaters.

Before you start: A Paper or Purpur server.

Step by step

1. Keep online-mode=true so accounts are real Minecraft accounts.
2. Install an anti-cheat (for example Grim or Vulcan) from its official page and restart the server.
3. Watch its alerts in game or in the console, and tune its config for your gameplay so honest players are not kicked.
4. Ban cheaters with ban Name and keep evidence with CoreProtect logs.
5. Leave allow-flight off unless you use flight plugins; it kicks players flying without permission.
6. Consider a whitelist or an application form for smaller communities.

Check it worked: Cheaters are flagged or blocked.

Why it happens: Modified clients send impossible movements and actions.
