Change your password or email address

How do I change my CoreX password or the email on my account?

Change your password under Security in the client area; changing the account email is done by support after they confirm it is you.

Before you start: Your current password (or a Google sign-in) and, for an email change, access to both the old and the new inbox.

Step by step

  1. Sign in and open Security from the account menu (your name at the top right).
  2. Under Password, type your current password, then the new one twice. Use at least 10 characters and something unique to CoreX.
  3. Save. Other signed-in devices are signed out; sign in again there with the new password.
  4. Update your SFTP program too, because the SFTP password is your CoreX password.
  5. To change the email address, open a ticket from the client area (Support) from the account itself, giving the new address. Staff may confirm the change by email before switching; they will never ask for your password or two-factor code.
  6. After an email change, invoices and alerts go to the new address, and you sign in with it from then on.

Check it worked: You can sign in with the new password (or the new email) and the old one no longer works.

Why it happens: The email address is how CoreX proves who owns the account and its servers, so it is not changed from a simple form.

Email changes always go through support.
